Perth based music collective Tone Youth are back in the spotlight with their new single Rollin’ available June 19th. The group is composed of 4 individual artists (T$oko who was recently featured on Pile Tv’s Get To Know, Robb James, Jimmy Drones, and Chu) with different expertise in music and different cultural backgrounds, who act on the premise of music being one universal language that brings cultures together– and they do it well.
‘Rollin is an energetic track produced by Crooklin, a well known producer from Toronto, Canada who has previously worked with impressive figures such as Jay Rock, Freddie Gibbs and Isaiah Rashad, just to name a few. The single serves as an ode to the city where they reside – Perth, and despite the immense talent displayed through the penmanship and bars of the track, the group approached the single effortlessly, getting back to what they love, emceeing.
“We’re just having fun with it, and getting our bars off. It’s a good introduction to what we’ve got coming for the rest of the year.” -Tone Youth
Tone Youth has seen considerable success in their career, including Triple J support for their past two releases and being part of the Top 5 finalists of Triple J Unearthed’s remix competition for Lorde’s ‘Homemade Dynamite’. Each member of the collective also have flourishing solo careers, having achieved milestone performances and streaming numbers.
The group wants to relay the message that life can be painful, but it’s there to be enjoyed and hopes to spread the message that they’ve grown through their individual experiences, and wish to demonstrate how it’s shaped who they are.
“Everybody goes through hardships and adversities, but how we overcome these obstacles, is what truly defines us.” – Tone Youth

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
