With their highly acclaimed debut album Take A Rest released June 9th, Byron Bay four-piece Tora have revealed the beautifully shot video for third single ‘Too Much’. The video comes ahead of their fast selling national album tour, beginning this week in Melbourne and Sydney, before the band head over to the UK and Europe to play headline shows to capacity crowds.

Shot on film in Byron Bay by Coco and Maximilian, the video for ‘Too Much’ is a series of vignettes which matches the gentle lushness of the track. Frontman Jo Loewenthal describes the latest single as “A simple message that comes from a place of complete honesty. Sometimes admitting to yourself can be the hardest part, but I’m sure at times everyone has loved someone or something that they shouldn’t have. After writing this song, I found it a lot easier to accept those feelings and move forward.”

‘Too Much’ follows the album’s second single ‘Another Case‘ which has earned airplay on national and community radio in Australia, as well as BBC1, Beats1, and streaming platforms worldwide.

Tora wrote Take A Rest over a two-year period in various locations around the globe before composing, recording, producing and mixing the album in their home studios in Byron Bay. The band will be joined on the Take A Rest national tour by Sydney indie Producer Mookhi along the east coast, with DJ/Producer Tenru on support duties in Perth and Fremantle. Local acts for each city include electronic duo Chymes (SYD), hip-hop/electronic soulstress May Lyn (BRIS), ethereal act Azura (MELB), singer/songwriter Allume (ADE) and electronic act Solo Dan will round out support duties in WA.

With over 30 million streams to their credit and having played the likes of Glastonbury and Splendour in the Grass, a national support slot with RUFUS, and a run of their own sold shows. Tora have an extensive touring CV, with spots on the line up at The Great Escape (UK), Best Kept Secret (NL), and Germany’s premier festivals Fusion Festival, and Reeperbahn as well as over 70 other festivals and headline shows across Europe, the US, Mexico and Canada.

Tora continue to solidify their position as one of the most lauded live acts in the country and the Take A Rest album tour is not to be missed.
