takes you to
Splendour in the Past
with live music and memories
.

Every July Splendour in the Grass sets up in Byron Bay for three epic days of music and mayhem. Right alongside it, triple j has been beaming the best bits out to the nation, all the while amassing an unrivaled archive of live music and memories.
With the iconic festival forced to take a COVID19-related break this year, we’ve delved into those archives to bring you Splendour in the Past, so you can get your annual Splendour fix over the weekend it would have taken place.
From 9am – 6pm Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 July, we’ll play you a selection of the best live performances from across the years, so you can re-live highlights from Childish Gambino, Gang of Youths, Lana Del Rey, Vampire Weekend, Florence + The Machine, HAIM, Bloc Party, Violent Soho, Meg Mac, Thelma Plum, Stormzy and heaps more.
Plus we’ll be talking to artists and fans about their favourite Splendour memories, as well as digging up some of the most fascinating archival interviews and letting you in on some major backstage goss. Like, remember when a local grandma had to stitch up Kanye’s pants? Or when 16-year-old Lorde got the call to replace Frank Ocean? We do, and we’ve got the audio to prove it.
We also want you to get involved by sharing your Splendour mems with the hashtag #splendourinthepast
You can find triple j’s Splendour in the Past on your FM and digital radios, streaming on the triple j website and your mobile via the triple j app on iPhone or Android from 9am – 6pm Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 July.
Come rain, hail or shine we guarantee the show will go on(air)!

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
