DIY Supergroup
is your chance to collab with
huge names in Australian music

triple j Unearthed’s DIY Supergroup competition has returned for its second year, which means that you could collaborate with some of the biggest names in Australian music!
Gang of Youths, Lime Cordiale, Alison Wonderland, Genesis Owusu, San Cisco, Vallis Alps and Touch Sensitive have each generously shared brand-new samples, stems and loops with us. We’ve got drums, bass, guitars, vocals and bars, but we’re missing the key ingredient… YOU!
We want you to download the DIY Supergroup sample pack, pick your collaborators, and make a song of your own. Then upload your masterpiece to triplejunearthed.com!
triple j Unearthed’s DIY Supergroup competition was formed during the height of the COVID-19 lockdown in April 2020, giving artists the chance to collaborate from the confines of their own homes.
Last year we were introduced to the anonymous hip-hop act ROYBOY, who won the competition with their outstanding entry ‘switchUP’. We can’t wait to hear what you come up with this year!
HOW TO ENTER:
Download triple j Unearthed’s DIY Supergroup sample pack from triplejunearthed.com
Create your masterpiece
Include samples from at least THREE (3) of the artists in the sample pack
Upload the track to your triple j Unearthed artist page by midnight AEST on Sunday May 9
Put #DIYSUPERGROUP in the title so we can find it
Finalists will be announced on w/c 17 May on triple j Breakfast with Bryce & Ebony.
In the weeks that follow we’ll announce the winner, who will have their song played all over the airways on triple j and triple j Unearthed radio!

triple j Unearthed – discovering new Australian music
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
