African-Australian trailblazers True Vibenation link up with the new girl on the soul block A.GIRL for the release of ‘More Than You’ll Ever Know’ on Soul Modern Records. True Vibenation bring their irresistible blend of soul and afrobeat and combine it with the fluid R&B stylings of A.GIRL for a release that is as soothing as it is memorable. Two artists who utilise their music to echo the spirit of community, gel effortlessly for a track that is all about letting the people most important in their own lives feel the love.
On the collaboration with A.GIRL, True Vibenation said, “it was awesome working with A.Girl and man can she sing! We were stacking soul vocal harmonies and horn harmonies like nobody’s business. The writing came really naturally as the hook really speaks for itself – what matters most is never material, and we can never express enough in words how we feel about the people in our lives we care about.”
A.GIRL continues “the boys from True Vibe and I jumped in the studio early in the pandemic when nobody knew what the eff was going on!? We met and vibed so it was super chill and easy. After a few hours ‘More Than You’ll Ever Know’ popped out and we were all diggin it. We all share a love of reggae and had no idea this impromptu writing session would turn into a release but here we are! Can’t wait to see who this connects with.”

The three friends from Western Sydney that make up True Vibenation, twins Vuli and Bheki, along with their childhood friend Gabriel (releasing under his solo project ‘Klue’), draw influence from their African heritage and their love of soul and hip-hop. The trio have garnered over 2 million streams across their discography, with tracks like ‘Squat’ with Haiku Hands surpassing the 1 million stream mark itself, and ‘The World Is Ours’ hitting over 600,000 streams with both tracks receiving significant support from triple j. True Vibenation have been praised by Sydney Morning Herald as being “What African-Australian sounds like”, while the trio has been supported by tastemakers such as Pilerats, AFROPUNK, Indie Shuffle, Purple Sneakers, The Music, and Music Feeds. Keeping to their African roots, the hip-hop group have toured around the world performing at Hifa Festival in Zimbabwe, Bushfire Festival in Swaziland, Azgo Festival in Mozambique, while they have delivered their electric and infectious live show globally with multiple European tours under their belt, with further performances at Sydney Festival, WOMAdelaide, and the world-renowned Glastonbury Festival.
Sydney based artist A.GIRL (Volkanik Music) brings youth and exuberance to the soul scene, utilising hip-hop to display her connection to her homeland of Te Hapua in the north island of New Zealand. In two years A.GIRL has amassed over a million streams across platforms, with tracks such as ‘All Over You’, and ‘Play’ striking a chord with radio programmers and attracting broad support from triple j who supported the tracks on full rotation, with A.GIRL also winning triple j Unearthed’s Listen Out festival spot. 2020 saw A.GIRL recognised as a breakout star when she featured on triple j’s Like A Version of Kanye West’s ‘Jesus Walks’ along with Taka Perry, Emalia, and Gia Vorne, while A.GIRL was also crowned as FBi Radio’s ‘Next Big Thing’ at their SMAC Awards earlier in the year. She has been supported by industry tastemakers such as Pilerats, Purple Sneakers, Music Feeds, and Complex, who have praised her vocal versatility and raw lyricism. While 2020 saw everyone stand up and notice A.GIRL, 2021 will see her continue to cement her name in the Australian hip-hop scene.
‘More Than You’ll Ever Know feat. A.GIRL’ is out now via Soul Modern Records.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
