“Tyne-James Organ radiates raw energy.” – Atwood Magazine
“If you’re not already across Tyne-James Organ, you should be.” – Junkee
“Combining the heartland rock thrust of Bruce Springsteen with the tortured vulnerability of Jeff Buckley and the indie showmanship of Catfish & The Bottlemen’s Van McCann.” – Newcastle Herald
“Tyne-James Organ manifests a lifetime of gruelling experiences into a delicately crafted debut record with Necessary Evil, an album exploring themes like death and grief through an insightful lens and expressing his outlook with a gravelly, raw performance that elevates his reflective songwriting.” – DORK

In a year that saw the release of his spectacular and critically acclaimed debut album – Necessary Evil – Wollongong’s golden-voiced rocker, Tyne-James Organ, has announced that his major career year is far from over, with the release today of a brand-new single and a string of tour dates in 2022.
The new track, ‘Honey,’ was recorded at the tail end of the Necessary Evil recording sessions, and was co-written with DMA’s member and song writing mastermind, Johnny Took. It picks up right where Necessary Evil left off – a thrill ride rocker that weaves together a driving beat, atmospheric synths, rich guitar strums, and Tyne’s unmatched voice, all to produce yet another anthemic cut from a man known for writing heart-on-your-sleeve belters.

“‘Honey’ came from my last writing session before recording my album in July, 2020. I met up with Johnny Took two days before I left Melbourne for the recording sessions in Byron and we hit it off from the get go. Johnny is very real both as a person and when he speaks, which instantly let me open up to him. We spoke about life and all its ups and downs. This one’s pretty much a nod to a past relationship to say thanks and that it was worth it. It’s one of my favourites from the record sessions and I couldn’t be more happy to share it.”
Having had his album tour plans largely interrupted by COVID lockdowns, Organ will be returning to the road early in 2022 with his crack backing band. These club tour dates are set to be some of the largest of his career, and are yet another example of how his reputation as one of the country’s best live performers has only grown in his absence from the stage (although we suspect delivering one of 2021’s best triple j Like A Version performances probably contributed in a major way as well). Tickets and tour date information below, with the first show scheduled for Saturday, February 12 at Republic Bar in Hobart.
With even more shows and more new music scheduled for release in 2022, expect to hear and see a lot more from Tyne in 2022.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
