Under the Cut are a Melbourne, Australia based post punk band influenced by new wave and dark pop acts. Following a string of well received releases the band have just released their new EP “Intuition” on Riffbear Records. The EP is available on all streaming platforms.
The new video for the single “Come Back” is out now and features Lucy Wilson (The Smith St Band, The Sugarcanes) on guest vocals. The Intuition release show and Riffbear Records label launch will be held on the 20th January at The Old Bar in Melbourne. The band will continue to support the release in the coming months.

Vocalist Chris Dee’s drawling vocal style is even more unique when his lyrical content is examined. As an openly gay person in the punk scene his lyrical content is refreshing, exploring themes unique to his sexuality whilst also holding a universal appeal.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
