Universal Music Australia is pleased to announce that Billie Eilish has debuted at #1 with her debut album WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? on the official ARIA Album chart.  The album sold the equivalent of 15k copies in it’s first week, making it the largest consumption week of 2019 for an album, beating Ariana Grande’s consumption for Thank U, Next.

Her single ‘bad guy’ also debuted at #1. With six tracks from her album in the top 10 on the ARIA Singles chart, Billie Eilish now holds the record for most tracks in the top 10. Ed Sheeran previously held the record when he had five tracks in the ARIA Singles chart in March 2017.

With Billie Eilish at the top of both the ARIA album and singles charts, she is now the youngest person to achieve the feat of topping both charts, and at the age of 17 she surpasses the 21 and a half year old Adele was when she did it back in June 2011.

WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? comprises of fourteen tracks that materialise as ghostly genre-less pop projections of life’s firsts for the multi-platinum songstress as she ruminates on her first brushes with loss and love amidst the monsters under her bed and the triumphs at her feet.

Billie returns to Australia for a third time next month for a completely sold out run of headline dates and the national Groovin The Moo tour.
