World-class producer, vocalist, lyricist and break-out artist Vetta Borne has officially entered the zeitgeist with the release of her Afterlife EP out today via [PIAS] Australia.
The EP arrives following an array of impressive singles, including ‘40-40’ and ‘Want U Here’, which have earned her wide critical acclaim from the likes of triple j, triple j Unearthed, Hit Nights with Nic Kelly, Pilerats, Purple Sneakers and Acclaim Mag.
Vetta Borne has had a massive start to 2024, signing to [PIAS] Australia as well as a global publishing deal with Concord Music Publishing ANZ, plus extensive playlist additions across streaming platforms, including Spotify’s EQUAL AU & NZ and Fresh Finds, Apple Music’s New Music Daily, plus the cover of TikTok Music’s Queer, From Here. She has also just been announced to perform at this year’s Bigsound Showcase.
Today she has shared the heavy-hitting clip for single ‘CPR’, choreographed by the fabulous Chantal Bala and features the insatiable moves from dancers Monique Nightingale, Abul Deng, Vicri Yadi, Blayk Doolan
On the single Vetta says, “CPR is about that one night, where you’re together for the first time. And it’s all fireworks, it’s hot, it’s steamy, it’s rejuvenating. I had a night like this, and it was so beautiful, she was so beautiful, we listened to Kylie Minogue all night, and I left that night so inspired that I wrote CPR in my head on the drive home.”

Commenting on the clip, “Putting this music video together was a dream. I feel so lucky to have had so many incredible WOC down to work with me and help me to bring my vision to life. From the styling, H&MU, choreographer, dancers, love interest, to the photographer – everybody did such an incredible job.”
Having previously collaborated with some of the world’s most accomplished producers, including Styalz Fuego (Troye Sivan, Khalid), M-Phazes (Remi Wolf, Ruel), and Djemba Djemba (Sia, Madonna), the five-track EP was written and produced entirely by Vetta Borne herself – “As a woman who produces, this isn’t seen enough as it’s a heavily male dominated space”
Sonically inspired from early 00’s pop club classics like Britney Spears’ ‘Gimme More’ and Nelly Furtado’s collaborations with Timberland, while reflecting on life’s lessons.
Afterlife EP sees the release of three new tracks, including new focus single ‘CPR,’ opening and title track ‘Afterlife’ focuses on the re-birth of getting out of a sour relationship, while follow-up single ‘Daydreamin’ is all about the delusional fantasies of a crush when you’re too scared to get hurt again.
“The EP overall is about leaning into your toxic phase and learning from it. The Afterlife EP is about learning a hard lesson; even when you’re at your best, doing your best, sometimes that isn’t enough for somebody else. In the process of writing this EP, I loved, I lost, I yearned, I started dating again, just to go through the process of finding love all over again.”

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
