Vinny Lunar and Low Beams invite you to experience their latest music video, “Hai Rama,” which will transport you to a dreamy world. The music video from their EP “Chauffeur” is an exciting mix of Reggaeton, R&B, and Bollywood flair that creates a unique and captivating experience.

In the video, Vinny Lunar and Low Beams are shown in a trippy studio session that sends them into a dreamy state filled with smoke, mirages, and a seductive dancer. As they delve deeper into their surroundings, Vinny finds himself swept up in the Bollywood-inspired dance and music.

Assisted by up-and-coming Sydney-based choreographer Aditya Bahl, Vinny channels his inner Bollywood charm, and Anum Azzaz plays the female lead, adding a touch of subtle sensuality and elegance. The combination of R&B Reggaeton-inspired beats and Bollywood dance styles has created a visually stunning video.

“We wanted to create a video that would transport our viewers to a different world,” said Art Director, Daniel Stapleton. “We wanted to tap into Vinny’s affection and childhood experience of watching Bollywood movies with the modern R&B sound to create something truly unique.”

Vinny Lunar has undergone a significant shift in his music career, focusing more on his Indian heritage in recent releases. His multicultural background, having lived in six cities across four countries, has contributed to his exceptional ability to seamlessly blend different musical styles. In 2021, he released “Prema,” a track that fuses Afrobeats with South-Asian melodies and found its way to global Spotify playlists like “R&B Feels” and “Date Night.” Vinny Lunar continued this trend by releasing “Chauffeur,” a collaboration EP with Sydney-based producer Low Beams in 2022. Tracks off the EP have been featured on BBC Asia Radio and UK’s Daytimers, along with radio play in the UK.

Vinny explains, “There is a sensuality embedded in Indian culture and dance that’s worth celebrating and appreciating. The charm, confidence, and playfulness of male Bollywood protagonists are met with the elegance and innate beauty of the women they are wooing.”

The video, directed by Daniel Stapleton and edited by Sydney-based videographer Stackhat, features stunning visuals, vibrant colors, and intricate choreography reminiscent of the subtle sensuality of 90s Bollywood films. The track’s title “Hai Rama” pays homage to the 90s hit song “Hai Rama Ye Kya Hua,” the flagship song of the movie “Rangeela” starring Jackie Shroff and Urmila Matondkar.

“Hai Rama” and the 5-track EP “Chauffeur” are available now on all streaming platforms. The music video can be found on Vinny Lunar’s YouTube channel.
