Voice For Change is thrilled to announce Voice For Change; a new exhibition at the Immigration Museum, Saturday March 16 -Sunday May 19, 2019
The exhibition provides a unique platform showcasing an inspiring collection of stories and photographs from Australia’s top urban music, hip-hop and sporting personalities across diverse and multicultural backgrounds as they share their personal journeys and challenges; touching on themes of racism, self-exploration, marginalism and the power and importance of using one’s voice for positive change.
Presented in partnership with the Immigration Museum, the exhibition marks an exciting milestone for the Voice For Change program encouraging the public to engage with stories of well-known personalities and to follow the journeys of the young people mentored thus far through the Voice For Change program.
The exhibition launch coincides with the celebration of
Cultural Diversity Week on March 16.
This year VFC forged more expansive community connections by engaging schools and fostering the development of Victoria’s youth through interactive workshops and performance opportunities. A young group of students mentored by hip-hop’s finest and now known as ‘Voice For Change Next Gen’ wrote and recorded their original compositions at the start of 2019 including their inspiring recent release, ‘BE’, which debuted on Double J and has been buzzing in the industry.
Their musical efforts and creativity culminated in high profile performances at Australian Open – AO Live in January and NGV Teen Art Party in February. Continuing the momentum ‘Voice For Change Next Gen’ will perform their original songs at the Cultural Diversity Week Festival, Federation Square March 23 joined by DJ Mat Cant, host and producer MoMO (IAMMXO) Krown and P-UniQue who will perform power-track ‘Change’ another Voice For Change collaboration.

Receiving airplay across triple j, triple j Unearthed, Fbi Radio, 3RRR, PBS and 4ZZZ
