Dharug/Western Sydney-based drill artist VTA has continued his hot streak with his absorbing new single ‘International’ feat. AyeBlocc – produced by PAX (KAHUKX, Kate Chidiac, RENZI), mixed and mastered by Gambino (ONEFOUR, Section60, Inferno).
Beginning with eloquent chords and subtle electronics, VTA’s assertive flow gratifies the space between melody and harmony, his husky tone combining with deft bass and astute samples to compliment the mix. The song’s chorus is steered by the powerful vocals of feature artist AyeBlocc, stipulating a heartfelt delivery above the track’s fluently percussive textures.
Alongside the single is a vivid accompanying video – filmed and directed by The Last Addition (Chillinit, Huskii, Triple One). Shot across several locations in Bali, Indonesia, the clip shows VTA and his crew experiencing and embracing the cultural lifestyle, highlighting communities and bonds through its picturesque quality. Featuring 360° camera footage and multiple cameos, the video is a celebration of friends, family and getting away from the stress in your life.

VTA talks about the inspiration behind the track and music video: “Growing up in and struggling in the suburbs of Western Sydney, to travelling overseas with friends, is such a surreal feeling. I just wanted to capture this and share my experience with people, and also show people what else the world has to offer.”
In the live arena, VTA recently sold out his debut headline show at Eora/Sydney’s Oxford Art Gallery Bar (145 tickets) and has played shows across both Meanjin/Brisbane and Naarm/Melbourne.
Previous single ‘Home‘ feat. Kymza 046 was widely embraced by the likes of Spotify, Apple Music, triple j Unearthed, FBi Radio, RTR FM, Edge Radio, 4ZZZ and SYN Media. The accompanying video was added to rotation on MTV Upload.
