The arrival of W.O.M.A.N, the much anticipated debut album from Melbourne-based artist FATAI, is one that lands with emotional resonance and vibrancy. This collection of music represents the journey of one of Australia’s most dynamic vocalists – a striking fusion of R&B, soul and pop music that comes delivered with heart.

As FATAI looks ahead to her next North American tour in January, she celebrates the release of W.O.M.A.N as the opening of a brand new chapter. Having spent many years of her career elevating as a performer and storyteller in Australia and abroad, the road FATAI has taken towards W.O.M.A.N is one that has been marked with lessons learned, personal growth and appreciation for the relationships and experiences that have built her into the truest version of herself we hear throughout the album.

Moments of pause and reflection (‘Joys Of Life’) meet pure songs of love – love for others and love for oneself – including the impactful tracks ‘Love Is On My Mind’, ‘And Then Some’ and ‘Brick and Mortar’; the latter being a beautiful dedication to her parents.

Elsewhere, FATAI looks at herself through a mirror of realism, facing past behaviours and patterns that may have served her in young adulthood, that she has now grown through. Themes of isolation, grief and acceptance are explored with nuance through songs like ‘Waltzy Lullaby’, ‘What Does It All Mean?’ and ‘When You Say No’.

“The song talks about what it means to have it all but still feel completely empty and lonely. I’ve felt that a few times in my life. And when you do feel like this, it should always indicate to you a few things. Something needs to change, material things will never amount to true happiness, and there is more to life and who we are than what we do.” FATAI (‘What Does It All Mean?’)

Hailing from Melbourne, FATAI’s charisma and emotionally-charged presence won audiences instantly and across the formative chapters of her career, her blend of R&B, soul, and pop music brought FATAI viral success online, as well as a dedicated fanbase in Australia and beyond.

She has shared stages with artists including PJ Morton, Guy Sebastian, and Jessica Mauboy, while FATAI’s music has drawn the attention and support of Marshall Arts for live representation in the UK, USA and EU – the team who look after a select roster of artists including Paul McCartney, Elton John and others. In Australia, FATAI is represented by Craft Music, the talented team who also look after artists including Megan Washington, Missy Higgins and Ben Lee.

January 2026 sees FATAI return to North American venues, supported by Nyla XO.

“As I embark on my 11th headline tour, I’m excited to perform my debut album that encapsulates the journey of a young girl who used to seek validation to becoming a woman who is learning, growing, and becoming all that she’s meant to be. And that’s a woman who is strong, adventurous, kind, sensitive, honest and ever evolving. This album and tour is a celebration of 30 years journeying through the highs and lows and discovering who I am today. And it feels like just the beginning.” FATAI
