WAAX Announce East Coast Headline Shows Following Talked About BIGSOUND Performance

“Brisbane locals WAAX completely owned the stage, with singer Marie DeVita staking the stage like a seasoned pro. WAAX were tight and powerful, and completely owned BIGSOUND day one.”
– Rolling Stone

There’s no rest for the wicked. No sleep for the wild and no time for the weak. Brisbane’s WAAX are giving the middle finger to complacency and capping off an incredibly formative year with the We’re Totally Fucked Tour – a final run of headline live assaults from the five-piece for 2017. WAAX are also pleased to announce a last minute addition to the Yours and Owls festival lineup this weekend.

Still celebrating the runaway success of their Wild & Weak EP and  following their packed, standout performance at BIGSOUND, the announcement of these final dates come just as the band is about to kick off a huge run of sold out theatre dates with Dune Rats, WAAVES and Hockey Dad tomorrow.

The We’re Totally Fucked Tour is a celebration of hard work, an acknowledgement that the party fear is real, a kick in the face to the brink of exhaustion and it’s sure to be a load of fun.  Aiming to quench the thirst of WAAX fans who missed out on tickets to their at-capacity Wild & Weak EP Tour and the upcoming run of Dune Rats shows, these shows offer the final chance to see the band for the year.

Continuing its endless home run, WAAX’s independently released Wild & Weak EP is enjoying success around the world with track ‘Same Same’ reaching #9 on the FMBQ singles chart and #6 on the KKBB singles chart. ‘Wild & Weak’ is also making ripples with a spin on UK taste-maker station Radio X across the weekend. The band have also sold out of their limited edition yellow Wild & Weak EP vinyl and today launch online pre-orders for a new batch of limited-run clear vinyl. With 1.5 million streams of their tracks online to date and almost half a million of those falling in the last four months, WAAX are set for a bumper summer with a few more surprises to announce ahead of a national support for Fall Out Boy in early 2018.
