“Cool, yearning R&B”
– The FADER
“23-year-old singer songwriter Wafia is undoubtedly one of the most exciting Australian artists to emerge in recent years.”
– Howl & Echoes
“The awareness Wafia has over her own music is incredible. Everything she writes is so acutely matched with an emotion, or many within the one song, and she knows exactly how to cathartically express everything.”
– Project U
“This Future Classic signee is flawless”

Wafia today announces the details of her upcoming east coast tour this September. The dates follow the release of her current single ‘83 Days’, taken off her forthcoming VIII EP out via Future Classic on October 13.
Playing her first headline dates since 2015, the tour begins in Brisbane supporting London Grammar at the Riverstage, before Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory and the Corner Hotel in Melbourne next month. Wafia will be supported by Buoy and special guests across both headline shows, with local support in Sydney from GAUCI. Tickets are on sale today, see full dates and details below.
’83 Days’ is the most recent release from the 23 year old Netherlands born, Brisbane-based Wafia Al-Rikabi, which follows the collaborative (m)edian EP with label mate Ta-ku and the duo’s subsequent world tour in 2016. Watch her live performance of ‘83 Days’ with co-writer Ben Abraham here before seeing it for yourself this September.
