“Early this year, Melbourne’s Wagons rolled into their 20th anniversary as a band, and have now topped it off with the release of ‘Songs from the Aftermath’. The band’s latest is rugged alt-country with a wayward and cosmic feel.” – 2SER (Awarded Feature Album)
“Melbourne alt-country kings Wagons and their brand new album ‘Songs From The Aftermath’ conjure up a dreamy slice of twangy yearning with the offbeat charisma of Nick Cave in Vegas-era’s Elvis Presley’s sonic clothing.” – The Soundcheck
“(Songs From The Aftermath) is a record of remarkable depth, a potent mix of menace, mirth and melodrama, part cosmic country, part crooner…Henry Wagons will have you thinking of Leonard Cohen, Neil Diamond and Warron Zevon, before you realise that he’s like no one else.” – Stack Magazine
“Given Wagons’ propensity for evangelical fist-raising performance … there were always going to be other fish for him to fry. It was a break from the band that helped the band to not break up.” – The Age

Following the huge success of their latest album “Songs From The Aftermath”, Wagons have revealed a very special announcement for fans… A pair of one of a kind Wagons sneakers are up for silent auction, with all proceeds going to the tirelessly incredible charity Beyond Blue.
The shoes will be available for viewing at the merch stand at every show on their upcoming Australian tour, where fans will be able to make their offers. The winner will be notified after the tour.
“These shoes are inspired by the Wagons album art by Grant Haffner, intricately hand stitched by Wagons drummer Si the Philanthropist,” said the band.
On top of this exciting announcement, Wagons are also excited to reveal the talented artists who will be supporting them on their upcoming national tour.
The following gorgeous up and comers will be helping Wagons bring “Songs From The Aftermath” to live audiences for the very first time, appearing at such iconic venues as the Croxton Bandroom and The Lansdowne Hotel.
As they gear up for this very special tour, Wagons stay atop their own tidal wave of hard-hitting, outlaw inspired, swamp rock madness, still pulsing and stomping together as a joint force, with singer Henry Wagons at the helm. Henry’s fierce intellect, once hurtling toward a career as a philosopher, was thankfully derailed by a record deal, a thirst for whisky and an insatiable need to make noise, as made evident by their music and lyrics.
The group have been regularly compared to the cheekiest and most mischievous of musical outlaws, from Johnny Cash to Nick Cave and have circled the globe testing the fortitude of some of the biggest stages at Bonnaroo, Bluesfest, Laneway, as well as SXSW and Americana showcases.
