‘Indie-bush balladeer’ and ‘talk of the town’ Watty Thompson and his Total Fire Band bring the uplifting energy of his acclaimed self-titled debut album to dates across East Coast Australia this May and June.
Watty Thompson’s new album creates a space in which to abandon all of your troubles and make time to live for the moment, and has Rhythms Magazine calling it, “… one of the finest releases you’ll hear in 2023.”
In a gloriously unabashed Antipodean drawl, Watty Thompson explores themes of inward and outward love, togetherness, and a desire to strive and live beyond the material. It’s affirming, joyous and inspiring, all played out against a background of rollicking country flavoured Australiana folk.
Off the back of the singles “Jenny”, “The Beauty That Surrounds Ya”, “City To Run” and the most recent “The Only Heart I’m Breakin’ (Is My Own)”, the singer songwriter and his expansive collective of likeminded troubadours have arrived as a galvanising new force.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
