Melbourne’s up and coming pop prodigy Winifred is delighting us with her new single “Into the Night” released Tuesday 16th March 2021. “Into the Night” is a gently melodious track rich with Winifred’s warm angelic vocals.
Winifred is putting her own quirky spin on modern pop. Influenced by artists like BANKS, Nao, Joji and Little Dragon, she is navigating her own path in the music space as an alt-pop artist with a focus on sound design production. 2021 is going to be a huge and expressive year for Winifred, as she charms us with her first single since her debut “Into the Night”.

“Into The Night is about the nuance of power struggle, establishing yourself and retaining your integrity,” said Winifred. “It’s about finding the balance of remaining open minded in seeking common ground but knowing where to draw the line, not allowing yourself to become intimidated as you navigate your way. The introspective struggle unfolds throughout the verses, confidence begins to stir in the pre chorus and then bursts into a newfound freedom when the chorus hits.”
To accompany the song Winifred, alongside Choreographer Zoee Marsh (George Alice, Vera Blue), created a dance oriented video clip which captures a true visual masterpiece. The music video premieres today, exclusively on Women In Pop.
Originally from North Queensland the now Melbournian Winifred is putting her own quirky spin on modern pop. Amidst her notable achievements in 2020 Winifred was the co-writer for “In My Mind” with Alice Ivy, featuring Ecca Vandal which was featured in a global Apple ‘Shot on iPhone’ ad campaign in August, rose to #1 on the U.S. Shazam Discovery Chart, added to high rotation on Triple J among others successes.
“Into The Night” is available to stream on all platforms now.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
