In the midst of the biggest year of their career, Winterbourne have today announced their biggest headline tour to date and released the third single from their upcoming album: ‘Too Many’.

Returning to the stage for their ‘Echo Of Youth’ Album Tour, Winterbourne will play Fremantle, Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. Following their sold out ‘Much Better Tour’ (April 2019), the Sydney duo continue to deliver bigger and better shows for their ever-growing fan base across Australia.

To mark the news of their album tour, James Draper and Jordan Brady have shared third single ‘Too Many’, the latest offering from their highly anticipated debut album ‘Echo Of Youth’, available Friday August 23rd.

‘Too Many’ was one of the last tracks Winterbourne wrote for the album. Written in James’ room two weeks before recording, the track took only 3 hours to write.

“We didn’t realise until after the recording process but it’s the only song on the record that has a clear uplifting message, and it kind of serves as a response to a lot of questions throughout the album. We recorded this one first when we arrived at the studio in Byron. It was night time by the time we got going and we all sat around in a small circle and just jammed on this song for a couple of hours until we felt we had it,” says James.

The duo worked with musical dream team consisting of producer Andy Mak (Vera Blue), engineer Jackson Barclay (Timberwolf) and multi-instrumentalist Thom Mak recording the album over a six-month period at La Cueva Studios (Byron Bay) and The Grove (Gosford).

James goes on to explain, “Too Many is a slow build from one point to another with a bunch of ramblings that rhyme over the top. Much like when you’re staring out into the distance and all the things that are making you feel overwhelmed are adding up in your head but then some thought or chemical brings you comfort, and you revel in that while you walk home listening to music. Plus rhyme.”

Delivering a debut album rich in swirling guitars, lush synths and soaring, catchy choruses, Winterbourne have already road tested a number of new album tracks on their ‘Much Better Tour’, as well as in theatres across the country on Dean Lewis’ recent album tour.

Beginning in Fremantle (Friday October 25th) and concluding with their biggest ever show at the Metro Theatre in Sydney (Saturday November 16th) tickets for the ‘Echo Of Youth’ Album Tour are available from the band’s website.
