Woolly Mammoth Festival is a boutique festival curated and conceptualized by Uncle Mum; a small team of Adelaide based, like-minded promoters and musicians dedicated to running the best and most-inclusive events possible. First taking place over two days in 2018 at the late Edinburgh Castle Hotel, the 2019 edition of the festival will take place on a huge single day – August the 3rd, at Lion Arts Factory in Adelaide.
Press Club from Melbourne lead a diverse range of artists with the 2019 edition of the festival featuring 100% Australian artists and 47% South Australian artists (Bec Stevens, Dead Roo, Donnarumma, Idly By, Oscar the Wild, Pemberton, Superdose Gangway and Teenage Joans).
It’s important to us that Woolly Mammoth exists as an inclusive festival. To this end, 70% of the bands feature at least one band member who is female or non-binary (Press Club, The Lazy Susans, Bec Stevens, Barefoot Bowls Club, Dead Roo, Nothing Really, Oscar The Wild, Slagatha Christie, Squid Fishing, Superdose Gangway, Teenage Joans and Zen Haircuts). We think that this should be the standard for all festival line-ups and we want to lead by example.
Adelaide is a unique, often underestimated and under-appreciated city with a multitude of diverse festivals. We believe that Woolly Mammoth can carve out a place in this landscape, become a mainstay of the Adelaide festival scene and help to solidify Adelaide’s reputation as a UNESCO City of Music.
Keeping the above in mind, winter is traditionally a quiet time for festivals of this size and this is how we’re going to carve our niche and when we’ll keep hosting the festival year after year.
We’re proud of what we achieved last year and we’re proud of the lineup we’ve booked for this year’s edition. Along with the solid lineup, the collective skills, expertise and experience of the Uncle Mum/Woolly Mammoth team will enable us to build on the foundation we laid down last year.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
