Townies is an EP that take a deeper look into the world of X Ambassadors’ 2024 album Townie out now via Virgin Music Group.
These songs were written during, before and after the process of making the album but all felt connected to the heart of the project in their own unique ways. Focus track ‘Fragile’ was written before they had officially begun work on the album. It marks the end of one sonic journey and the beginning of another; a bridge from the surreal, freaky world of ‘Beautiful Liar’ to the reflective ‘Townie.’
Last month, Frontier Touring are announced the US pop-rock trio will perform an exclusive Melbourne headline show this January.
The band will play their only headline Australian show at Melbourne’s Corner Hotel on Wednesday 29 January as they also head down under to support Irish legends The Script on their Australian tour across January and February.
X Ambassadors are a multi-platinum trio formed by brothers Sam Nelson Harris (vocals, guitar, saxophone, bass) and Casey Harris (piano, keys) while the pair were in high school in Ithaca, New York. Later joined by Adam Levin (drums) upon moving to Brooklyn, the trio have gone on to dominate the alternative charts over the last decade.
Forming in 2009, the band exploded with the success of their debut album, VHS (2015). The Platinum certified album provides an intimate look into the childhood of Sam and Casey, and features massive hit singles ‘Unsteady’ and ‘Renegades’ which have since garnered more than 1.3 billion streams on Spotify and led the band to a three-year long world tour. VHS was followed by ORION (2019), the Belong EP (2020), The Beautiful Liar (2021) and (Eg) (2023), a series of collaborative singles featuring artists such as BRELAND, Teddy Swims & Jac Ross, Medium Build and PAMÉ.
Recently, the band also released ‘Deep End‘ which was written for and featured in the new movie, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. The track is just the latest contribution the band has made to major films, with other works including Torches (Transformers), Great Unknown (The Call of the Wild) and Sucker for Pain (Suicide Squad) among others.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
