Brooklyn’s finest experimental rockers, Yeasayer are returning to Australia for their first headline tour in over seven years and will be taking to the stage at Melbourne Recital Centre on Wednesday 19 February, performing fan favourites from their stellar discography as well as tracks from their latest album, ‘Erotic Reruns’.
Tickets are on sale now HERE or (03) 9699 3333.
Led by singer-songwriters and multi-instrumentalists Chris Keating, Anand Wilder and bassist Ira Wolf Tuton, Yeasayer have taken fans on an eclectic, genre-bending journey into psych-rock, pop, rock, Middle Eastern, African, folk, and dub throughout their career.
‘Erotic Reruns’ is the 5th full length from Yeasayer and stands out as one of the band’s best albums to date due to its singular vision. Light years removed from the band’s 2007 opening volley, ‘All Hour Cymbals’, it distills a decade of twisted, paranoid pop into the Brooklyn band’s most direct, cut-to-the-bone release yet. The record encourages its audience to ponder the important issues that define our maddening, speed of light era of content consumption. Inspired by the events surrounding the 2016 U.S. presidential election, the societal and political commentary is erudite and trenchant.
Having sold out shows on their previous Australian tours, don’t miss the long-waited return of YEASAYER in February 2020.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
