You Me At Six have released their highly anticipated new album ‘SUCKAPUNCH’ today via Underdog Records / AWAL. The band will be celebrating the release with ‘A Virtual Evening with You Me At Six’ on January 16 at 6pm GMT / January 17 at 5am AEDT, alongside a headline tour through the UK in May.
Hailed by Kerrang as a ”creative KO”, SUCKAPUNCH is the sound of You Me At Six pushing themselves beyond expectation. Rock Sound describe the band’s seventh album as “bold, brash and brimming with attitude and innovation”, and the NME said “It’s rare for a rock record to feel this exciting.”
CLASH praised “a hard hitting and forward thinking record”, DIY welcomed “a version of You Me At Six we’ve never seen before”, The Sun confirmed “their most radical record to date” with the Sunday Times Culture adding, “some of their hardest rock is here, but the stand-out is the gorgeous Glasgow, a break-up ballad until it explodes”.
Having secured a spot add on triple j, and being described as “epic” by the NME, previous single and the album’s title track was hailed as one of the band’s boldest artistic statements to date with its anthemic amalgamation of electronica and rock.

‘A Virtual Evening with You Me At Six’ is available to all fans who pre-order the album via the band’s official store – https://youmeatsix.tmstor.es/. The ‘Virtual Evening With…’ will offer fans a chance to watch an extended 20 minute edit of ‘The Making Of SUCKAPUNCH’ Made In Thailand documentary, a Q+A with the band, and exclusive footage of the ‘Live From Gunnersville’ career-spanning live set.
‘SUCKAPUNCH’ release celebrations continue with the announcement of a brand new Limited Deluxe Edition of the album, available on transparent violet vinyl (ltd edition), including a 7-inch flexi-disc and glow in the dark detailing, from 15th January.
Recorded over five weeks at Karma Sound studio in Bang Saray, Thailand, ‘SUCKAPUNCH’ sees You Me At Six pushing the experimentation of their 2018 UK Top 6 album ‘VI’ even further, continuing their creative relationship with that album’s producer, Dan Austin (Biffy Clyro, Massive Attack, Pixies). Brimming with ambition, sonic influences dive boldly into electronic music, hip-hop and R&B, some of the songs tread entirely new territory, others twist rock into fresh forms. All of it springs surprises. ‘SUCKAPUNCH’ is the sound of a band embracing change. You Me At Six have crafted their most experimental, personal and progressive record to date.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
