Dean Lewis
has today released details of his first ever Australian headline shows, taking the rising artist to Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane during July/August. The announcement has been capped off with news his debut single ‘Waves’ has hit PLATINUM sales in Australia. Tickets to these highly anticipated shows will be available from Dean’s official website and will go on sale this Friday at 10am from www.deanlewismusic.com

Currently in London performing at Great Escape Festival, Dean’s headline shows will include songs with “personal lyrics delivered with emotional heft” (the music) taken from his debut EP ‘Same Kind of Different’ which was released on Friday and available here.

The Sydney singer-songwriter recently performed at Maitland’s Groovin’ The Moo Festival and when Tash Sultana cancelled on the eleventh hour, the emerging artist was moved to a later time slot and played to well over 3000 people.

What can only be described as a phenomenal start to the year, Dean’s current single ‘Need You Now’, which was released a fortnight ago, is showing signs of having the same success as ‘Waves’. ‘Need You Now’ was instantly added to triple j and has surpassed a million global streams. ‘Waves’ continues to ride both the sales and radio charts, peaking at #14 on the ARIA singles chart, Top 10 on iTunes, Top 20 on Spotify chart and heads towards 15 million streams globally.

Songs on the Same Kind Of Different EP have been produced by Edd Holloway and Nick Atkinson (Gabrielle Aplin) and mixed by Dan Grech (Halsey, Josef Salvat) as well as tracks produced by John Castle (Vance Joy, Paul Kelly).
