Some might say to “put it down” is the act of getting “it” done – which pretty much sums up Go Freek’s mentality to a tee… and just so happens to be the name of their forthcoming bass heavy banger.

The inaugural release for 2017 highlights their production finesse, without straying from their signature self-described #guttertech sound. Branching out from their peers by refusing the notion of generic club music, Go Freek once again embrace a darker side to their sound design, experimenting with dramatic oscillating builds that add a unique texturing to the production.

Signing to the Sweat fam early on in their career, Go Freek have since become a renowned name on the global dance music scene with supports from Christian Martin, Porter Robinson, Diplo & Claude VonStroke in addition to working with Crookers, Steve Aoke, and Bart B More. However, it is their originals that have truly catapulted them from local club veterans to the standout producers they are today; their 2015 single ‘Define’ garnering an insane 13 million online stream, with ‘Call Out’ reaching #5 on the ARIA club chart last year. With the new single already receiving huge props form the likes of What So Not, Peking Duk, Destructo, Billy Kenny, Mija, Wax Motfi, Tommy Trash & Motez, the duo are gearing up for their sweatiest release yet. Recently representing the Sweat crew at Mixmag’s Lab in SYD alongside Yolanda Be Cool, we can officially say the single is tried, tested and approved.

With some large Go Freek news still to come, let this little tune whet your whistle. ‘Put It Down’ is out on Sweat It Out Friday 9th June.
