Queenslanders interested in building a sustainable career in the music industry are now invited to register for QMusic’s Industry Connect workshops held from April – July 2018.

Industry Connect is a statewide professional development program for both aspiring and practising Queensland artists and industry workers. The 6-part workshop program will take participants through the process of setting up a music industry business and releasing a song into market.

It’s free to attend the workshops but spaces are limited and participants are encouraged to sign up at www.qmusic.com.au throughout March to secure their spot.

Developed by Queensland’s music industry development association QMusic,Industry Connect is designed by experienced music industry professionals to help anyone, 15 years and over, build the knowledge and relationships they need to succeed. The program is complemented with exclusive travel grants and festival performance opportunities for musicians throughout the year.

BIGSOUND bursaries will return in 2018, covering delegate passes, flights, and accommodation for six Industry Connect participants to attend BIGSOUND Festival 4-7 September, to further their networks and learn from some of the best minds around the globe.

Since launching in 2017, the program has helped 556 artists and music industry practitioners navigate the contemporary music industry landscape.

2018 will see Industry Connect delivered across an even greater number of regions, expanding to Toowoomba, Ipswich, Maroochydore and Noosa for the first time and returning to Cairns, Brisbane, Nambour and the Gold Coast.

Participants will get the chance to meet and learn from a diverse selection of music industry professionals including:
