MAJOR LEAGUES
return with new single
‘IT WAS ALWAYS YOU’
+ touring this APRIL
Brisbane garage pop four-piece Major Leagues today return with new video and single ‘It Was Always You’. Produced by acclaimed Australian artist Jonathan Boulet, the single is the first taste of the band’s forthcoming debut album out mid-year via Popfrenzy. The single will be supported by intimate live dates in Brisbane and Sydney this April.
Over 2013’s ‘Weird Season’ EP and 2016’s ‘Dream States’ EP, Major Leagues have become synonymous with their unique brand of DIY pop characterised by stunning vocal harmonies, crisp lo-fi production and nostalgic undertones. Singles such as ‘Endless Drain’, ‘Someone Sometime’, ‘Better Off’ and ‘Teen Mums’ have been championed by radio stations such triple j, triple j Unearthed, FBi 94.5FM, Triple R, RTRFM and 4ZZZ. ‘Silver Tides’ also caught the attention of iconic indie rock outfit The National who featured the song on their ‘Infinity Radio’ playlist.
Major Leagues have toured relentlessly in between releases, performing their own headline shows around the country in addition to support shows with the likes of Beach Fossils (USA), Alvvays (CAN), Wild Nothing (USA), Wye Oak (USA), San Cisco, The Preatures and DMA’s. The band will perform at The Foundry in Brisbane on April 20 before heading to Sydney to play Golden Age Cinema & Bar on April 27 and Rare Finds 2nd Birthday on April 29.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
