THE GRISWOLDS
release new single
“ROLE MODELS”
and announce upcoming Australian tour
The Griswolds release new single ”Role Models” from their sophomore album HIGH TIMES FOR LOW LIVES and announce that they’ll be once again hitting the road on tour throughout Australia.
“Role Models” features The Griswolds signature unapologetic energy, with catchy pop vocals layered over edgy synths, sharp samples and syncopated claps.
The track was written in isolation two hours north of Sydney and produced in Los Angeles with Grammy Award winning producer Andrew Dawson (Kanye West), the title of which is a tongue in cheek reference to toxic celebrity behaviour and the psychology of celebrity worship.
“It’s a really strange and beautiful thing when people say they look up to you or you inspire them. I remember thinking one day “us? role models? Hell no, no one should be looking up to us” So I wrote down that lyric “we ain’t your role models” – Chris Whitehall
2016’s release of HIGH TIMES FOR LOW LIVES saw The Griswolds take inspiration from sources as diverse as Tame Impala’s ‘Currents’ and Kendrick Lamar’s ‘To Pimp a Butterfly’ creating an album which is draped in swathes of funk, R’n’B, hip-hop and electro. Having sold out nine dates on their US Tour already, make sure you see the Sydney four-piece perform their sun-soaked shimmery pop anthems across Australia this April & May.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
