Following the announcement of their highly anticipated third album Quiet Ferocity out July 7th, Brisbane-based four-piece The Jungle Giants today share details of their upcoming Australia and New Zealand album tour this August. Beginning August 18th, the tour will see the band hit capital cities around the country as well as Byron Bay and the Central Coast. Playing both all ages and over 18’s shows, the indie outfit will also travel to Auckland, marking their first ever New Zealand appearance. With the Quiet Ferocity tour giving audiences the first and only chance to see the new material live this year, fan pre-sale will be made available by secret code via The Jungle Giants mailing list and social media at 12:30pm today, with general on-sale beginning 9am this Friday, June 9th.
Of the upcoming tour, frontman Sam Hales says, “For us, this is a really exciting time to experiment with new sounds and push the set into a new place. This record has been a really simple transition into a live set, and we can’t way to play the new songs.” Fresh from the release of their sophomore EP Verses, joining the band as they make their way around the country will be sibling duo LASTLINGS, alongside South Australia up-and-comers Heaps Good Friends, whose infectious track ‘Let’s Hug Longer’ saw them land the Groovin The Moo Adelaide triple j Unearthed competition earlier this year.
Recorded at Empire Studios in Brisbane, ‘Quiet Ferocity’ was a result of frontman Sam Hales’ “5 days a week, 9-5” approach to the creation of album number three. Recorded and produced entirely themselves, the 10-track album features new single ‘On Your Way Down’ and ‘Feel The Way I Do,’ which has nearly cracked over 2 million streams and has reached #14 most played track at triple j this year.
Racking up over 30 million Spotify streams, The Jungle Giants are the poster people for creative risks in the studio. As seen throughout the journey from their first EP to triple j feature albums Learn To Exist and follow-up Speakerzoid, the new album showcases a seamless creative pairing of songwriting and diverse production methods.
Recently whipping crowds into a frenzy on Australia’s favourite regional touring festival Groovin The Moo, The Jungle Giants have played played shows in LA, New York, Toronto, Austin, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Jakarta. With sold-out headline dates and appearances at all major Australian festivals, audiences can expect performances filled with charging dance hooks and contagious scream-your-lungs-out choruses. Their new album marks a key stylistic and musical evolution for the band, creating a genre-bending universe that’s entirely their own. Quiet Ferocity is infectious. So get ready – it’s coming for you too.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
