TWILIGHT AT TARONGA 2018

‘ROCKWIZ LIVE SALUTES LOVE’

…on Valentine’s Day!

.

.

Share your Valentine’s Day with your loved one at ‘ROCKWIZ LIVE SALUTES LOVE’ as Julia, Brian, Dugald and the ROCKWIZ OrKestra, are joined by special guests Tim Freedman, Wendy Matthews, Alex Lahey and Fraser A Gorman, at TWILIGHT AT TARONGA to celebrate love!

For those who want to make it an overnight stay, you can book in to sleep over at the Zoo as a Roar and Snore guest. You’ll enjoy the glamorous and unique accommodation of Sydney’s wildest sleepover as well as being able to watch the show from an exclusively reserved area on the concert lawns. Guests will also experience a night walk through the Zoo as well as exciting behind-the-scenes experiences and animal encounters the following day. Places are strictly limited.

Treat your loved one and enjoy your favourite ROCKWIZ segments of Who Can It Be Now, Million Dollar Riff, The Furious Five, and Contestant Karaoke, and experience rock knowledge and general shenanigans both on stage and off…with audience participation welcome!

Guaranteed on the night are dazzling duets with the special guests – singer-songwriter Tim Freedman’s achievements with The Whitlams include seven albums (three multi-Platinum and three Gold) and three ARIA Awards, and joining ‘ROCKWIZ LIVE SALUTES LOVE’ on the TWIGHLIGHT AT TARONGA stage is Wendy Matthews. With an extraordinary wanderlust and spirited gypsy vibe to her life, Wendy has seemingly done it all – jingles, voice-overs, firsts, lasts and everything imaginable in between!

Also taking to the ‘ROCKWIZ LIVE SALUTES LOVE’ stage is Alex Lahey, fresh from the release of her debut album ‘I Love You Like A Brother’ and her 2016 breakthrough single ‘You Don’t Think You Like People Like Me’. Fraser A Gorman, whose songwriting has taken him from the country-folk sound of his early releases, to the Americana sound where he finds himself now with his debut album ‘Slow Gum’, will also be a special guest on the show.

All tickets to TWILIGHT AT TARONGA include free same-day Zoo entry, as well as free public transport: return ferry travel from Circular Quay from 5.15pm, bus transfers from Taronga Wharf to the main Zoo entrance, and post-show buses to Spit Junction and Mosman.

All proceeds from TWILIGHT AT TARONGA – ‘Concerts with a conscience’ – go back into Taronga’s ongoing conservation work.

TWILIGHT AT TARONGA supports Wildlife Witness,a global campaign that aims to raise awareness about the $19 billion annual illegal wildlife trade, and empower people to take action against what has become the fourth most lucrative transnational crime after drugs, arms and human trafficking.
