The world renowned Deni Ute Muster is set to return after two cancelled years and organisers are thrilled to announce the full program of music and entertainment taking place on Friday, 30 September and Saturday, 1 October 2022.

The Deni Ute Muster is one of the most popular ‘bucket list’ events in Australia and attracts close to 20,000 people of all ages to celebrate music, mateship and, of course, the iconic ‘ute’.

Already confirmed to grace the Muster’s Main Stages in 2022 are international country superstar, Brad Paisley, as well as a bunch of our most loved and respected country/pop artists including Jessica Mauboy, John Williamson, The Angels, Busby Marou, Ian Moss and Troy Cassar-Daley, Shannon Noll, Sara Storer, Felicity Urquhart and Josh Cunningham, Shane Nicholson, Round Mountain Girls, Hurricane Fall and Darlinghurst.

Before the Main Stage lights up each day, the Sunrice Day Stage kicks off the entertainment and this year’s mix of performers will definitely get toes tapping.

Of course, the Deni Ute Muster has always been more than the music and the utes, with attractions around the grounds delivering fun for all the family from sunup to sundown.

The spectacular driving competitions bringing the sights and sounds of supercharged utes competing across the Circlework, Barrel Races and Go to Wo competitions will all be returning this year, together with some exciting new attractions for our Musterers to enjoy starting with our littlest ones stepping into the Deni Ute Muster’s very own prehistoric world with the fascinating, family-friendly Dinkum Dinosaurs.

Ranger Jim and his team will captivate the crowds with his amazing dinosaur demonstration and puppet show with kids having the opportunity of coming face to face with Dillo the Dinosaur, a giant 4m friendly dinosaur! Dinkum Dinosaurs is an impressive act not to be missed so don’t forget to check the program times closer to the Muster. With three shows each day, as well as Dillo Dinosaurs Dance Time, it will have you laughing, learning and leaving the kids obsessed with dinosaurs.

Minister for Tourism, Stuart Ayres, said the Deni Ute Muster was a quintessential regional NSW experience that would make a significant injection into the local visitor economy.

“Regional NSW offers so many exciting and unique events throughout the year but perhaps none more so than the iconic Deni Ute Muster,” Mr. Ayres said.

“The NSW Government is proud to support this event through our tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW. After a challenging period for regional NSW, we are delighted to be back in business, celebrating such a fun festival with the people of Deniliquin.

“By attracting car and music lovers to the region from all over the country, the Deni Ute Muster will make a vital contribution to the recovery of our regional visitor economy.”

Deni Ute Muster General Manager, Vicky Lowry, added “The team at the Deni Ute Muster look forward to welcoming you back to Deniliquin to celebrate all that our festival has to offer and in bringing people together, creating long lasting friendships.

“It has been said many times before, but this year will be our biggest Muster yet with one of our biggest line ups and entertainment non-stop from the time our festival arena gates open each day. We have catered for every age.

“Our gates will be opening earlier at 8.00a.m. on the Thursday to allow early access to the camp areas. Come join us for what is planned to be our biggest party on the plains.”

In 2022, the Deni Ute Muster will be fully cashless with RFID wristbands and top-up stations on site.   When the festival is over attendees will be able to retrieve their funds online.

The Deni Ute Muster is one of the top ‘bucket list’ events in Australia and annually attracts close to 20,000 people of all ages to celebrate all things Australian and, of course, the iconic ‘ute’. The Deni Ute Muster has amazing community support with more than 1,000 volunteers mobilising each year to help put on the event which donates close to $100,000 back to community groups.

Back in 1999, a group of community minded locals came together with the aim to start a rural themed festival to bring visitors to Deniliquin, a beautiful vibrant town on the edge of the outback, which was struggling with a crippling drought.

The first Deni Play on the Plains Festival, as it was known at the time, took place in October 1999, on the flattest, natural, open plains on earth, and with “ute culture” being an intrinsic part of Deniliquin, it was unanimous that it would play a major part of the festival and hence the Deni Ute Muster burst into the national psyche.

In its first year, the Deni Ute Muster had approximately 5,000 patrons and set a new Guinness World Record for the most number of legally paraded utes at 2,839 – a record which still stands today. Since 1999 the Deni Ute Muster has become the region’s biggest tourist drawcard and a celebration of all things Australian.

The Deni Ute Muster is proudly supported by the NSW Government’s tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW.

All Early Bird and Muster Adorer tickets are SOLD OUT. General Admission tickets and Reserved Camping are available at deniutemuster.com.au/.
