RETURN OF THE ‘UNCLE
.
.
.
Let’s Kill Uncle are a modern melodic death metal band from Perth, Western Australia. The band made their live debut in 2011, and over the course of the subsequent years built a reputation as a quality live act. Their self titled EP was released in 2014 and garnered significant praise in local and national circles;
.
“Guitars, hard core drums, brutal voice – the works! Flying the Perth metal flag big time.” – Rosie Beaton, Triple J.
“Could this be the band to fill the ‘melodic death’ vacuum left by the mighty Pathogen? Pathogen-catchy – pun intended, these boys have that kind of potential” – Simon Holland, The Music (2015)”
.
.
On the back of their first release Let’s Kill Uncle had a breakout year in 2014 making a name for themselves by playing many shows alongside some of Perth’s finest heavy acts. The following year the band were arguably at their most prolific, playing their first overseas show at the now infamous Diamonus Open Air (Bali, Indonesia) and sharing the stage with local heavy weights including Voyager, Chaos Divine, The Furor, Silent Knight and Chainsaw Hookers.
.
.
Things have slowed down significantly since then, primarily due to members of the band moving overseas. But after a 2 year hiatus circumstances allow a one off LKU show to take place. The ‘Uncle is back and primed to make up for lost time. Get amped for a memorable set of hard hitting melodic death metal. Brothers of Fathers and Mothers….you have been warned.
.
.
To mark the occasion Let’s Kill Uncle has hand packed a diverse and quality line-up of support acts. Progressive maestro’s Nucleust are the main support and will be fresh from their European tour along side Six Feet Under. The Line up is rounded out with the southern sludge of Bayou, blackened death from the fast rising Solum, and groove metal from the young tyros in Bayview Suspect.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
