Starting this week off is the one and only THANDO. Truly in a league of her own, Thando can easily be titled one of Australia’s best vocalists, with a tone to her voice that will give you goosebumps and power that will leave you speechless. A commanding performer, her electrifying sound of modern soul and RnB, mixed with raw funk and pop pulls audiences in, always leaving them wanting more.
Characterised by their pop, soul and RnB inspired style, H3RIZON bring with them mesmerising harmonies and awe inspiring vocal arrangements. Following their stint on Aussie TV show “All Together Now” Bernie, Tay and Gabby formed the perfect trio, proving three really is better than one. With their different strengths and backgrounds, Gabby is an acclaimed soprano, Tay has an incredible Ariana-esque RnB voice and Bernie’s soulful tones and beat making ensure H3rizon are a force to be reckoned with.
National treasure MISSY HIGGINS brings with her irresistible melodies and ‘arrow through the heart’ lyrics, delivered by a striking voice that clearly means it. Having spent years touring the globe, as well as topping the charts five times and winning nine ARIA Awards, Missy is here to show us all how it’s done. With her recently released standalone single ‘When The Machine Starts’ and the first few gigs of 2021 under her belt you better prepare yourself for a hypnotising set that’s sure to tug at your heart strings.
YORKE, the 21 year old pop prodigy hailing from Byron Bay rounds out Isol-Aid #43. Crafting sleek, sophisticated alt-pop that places her in the league of pop ingenues such as Lorde, Clairo and Ruel, Yorke traces the turbulence of youth, exploring the messiness of moving from adolescence into adulthood, and most crucially, the liberation found in discovering who you are and what you want.
