‘Worth Its Cost In Time’ is a great leap forward and the follow up to Noon Shift’s debut EP “Fuse” which featured the single “Save Me”. This track has been streamed 180,000 times and still counting. Not bad at all!

Production wise ‘Worth It’s Cost In Time’  was recorded between The Brain Studios in Sydney (Drums/Mastering) and Nick’s house (everything else), where the boys continued to refine their craft of home recording and mixing. The EP features an unreleased track in the shape of ‘Expectations’, containing the line for which the EP was named after.

“I wrote the songs for this EP during a period of about six months after leaving high school. We had just released our first EP ‘Fuse’ and we were looking to fill our live sets with a bunch of upbeat, singable originals. The songs are mostly about the experiences I had during that time: forming new relationships, losing old ones as well as enrolling in and quitting uni within a matter of a few months.

The title of the EP “Worth Its Cost in Time” is kind of a hopeful reminder that all the shit that you go through (or choose to put yourself through) is somewhat necessary and will one day be worth it, whether it be achieving career goals or just trying to find a place where you’re surrounded by people you love. I’m still only 20 though so take this all with a grain of salt, but that’s pretty much what this EP’s all about.” – Nick Lowe (Vox/Guitar)

NOON SHIFT Bio

Led by singer songwriter Nicholas Lowe, joined by William Abbott (Drums), Michael Sramek (Bass) and Thomas Rusin (Guitar), Noon Shift are an emerging band from Sydney’s Western suburbs. Influenced by the likes of Foo Fighters, Gang of Youths and Chris Cornell, Noon Shift showcase a raw display of rock and roll which will slap you in the face, quickly apologise, then proceed to hug it out.

It all started in school when three little year sevens met in junior guitar ensemble. After a little bit of mingling and jamming, Nick (singer, guitarist), Will (drummer) and Michael (bassist) decided it would be fun to start the band that would later become Noon Shift. Over the years the boys spent time jamming out in the garage and even more time skating, playing with sticks and buying kebabs.

In the later years of high school, the boys (having finally decided on the name Noon Shift) recorded their debut EP “Fuse”. With the success of their leading single “Save Me”, which to date has gathered upwards of 160,000 streams, Noon Shift hunkered down in Nick’s bedroom studio to record the rest of the EP. After going through the relaxed motions of recording at home, Noon Shift released Fuse to the world. Since then, they joined forces with local guitarist Tom and have had their recorded music and live performances catch the attention of x-factor winners, VIA Music Group and Harbour Agency.

Noon Shift spent much of 2020 teasing their upcoming EP ‘Worth Its Cost In Time’ with singles “Fallen Sisters”, “Waiting In The Garden” and “Make It Work”. Their second EP will be coming out in February of 2021 featuring the single ‘Anyway’.
