September saw beloved Brisbane collective Boss Moxi perform a mammoth 10th anniversary show at The Triffid, playing their full upcoming album Egotoxin (including single “Her Majesty”) in full alongside fan favourites. Showcasing over the top visuals, dancers, actors, fans basked in the full-scale theatrical experience of the show that Boss Moxi are being renowned for.

Now they’re returning with the second single from Egotoxin titled “Red Woman” (Out December 6th), along with the announce of some Boss Moxi ‘Ink & Drink’ Art Workshops, an Egotoxin album listening party and a trio of  back by popular demand encore shows for 2019!

After their Triffid performance word spread through the Brisbane music community and The Foundry approached Boss Moxi to bring their visceral performance to the venue for an encore show to round out 2019. Adding a show in Toowoomba and Gold Coast, the band have announced three encore shows in Queensland in celebration of the new single, taking the amazing Great Såge with them for the full tour.

For the Encore tour, Boss Moxi will be translating their expanded Triffid show into a range of different spaced venues, scaling from the medium sized stage at The Foundry, all the way down to a scaled back, but equally immersive and intimate Vinnies Dive Bar at the Gold Coast.

The weeks before the shows they’ll be hosting their very own Boss Moxi Art Classes, with Doig, the artist behind Egotoxin. It’s literally 2 hours of tips, tricks, drinks, wine and cheese, and you’ll leave with a framed artwork. There will be three sessions on either Thursdays or Sundays, $50 all materials supplied & comes with 2 free drinks and frame for your finished work.

Boss Moxi unreleased album, ‘Egotoxin’ Listening Event: Wed, Dec 18th from 6-9PM.

Not just an album, Egotoxin is the sophomore full length from Boss Moxi, and stands as the opening act for a stage called Yugen which is due out mid next year. Featuring sixty minutes of continuous revolving and mind-poking music acts as the score to the dark, twisted story thrown across 124 pages of original graphic novel illustrations by the bands own Brayden Doig.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.

Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
