the bouncy new single
‘BLOCKING BLUE’“AMNPLIFY PREMIERE”
An upbeat banger from go to whoa. Dutch Monks new single ‘Blocking Blue’ is sure to create a buzz with listeners all around the country. With its unique combination of high tempo rock guitar, a four-on-the-floor cowbell beat and a synth line that wouldn’t sound out of place in Van Halen’s classic ‘Jump’, ‘Blocking Blue’ is as modern as it is retro. Echoes of early Powderfinger mix with the ‘summer classic’ vibes of Reef ‘Place Your Hands’, and it’s hard not to smile as you let the energy take you over.
‘This track just exploded into life when we started playing with it in the studio. The bare bones were already there but as soon we started jamming with the bass and drums it just took on a life of its own. It didn’t even really feel like we were writing it anymore, it was just taking us where it wanted to go!’ Jesse Rudd-Schmidt
Earlier this year the duo released the Latino tinged single, ‘Sunshine’, which quickly scored spins on Community Radio across Australia including National airplay. The new single ‘Blocking Blue’ is lifted from the soon to be released EP, ‘Blocking Blue’.
Both Jesse Rudd-Schmidt and Teresa Sadras work together at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne as Medical Researchers. They’ve managed to juggle their busy scientific careers with the demands of recording their upcoming ‘Blocking Blue EP’. In 2020 they released the debut album ‘Yours To Lend’, containing the catchy single ‘Colour Blind’ which was played on numerous radio stations around the country.
In the meantime enjoy ‘Blocking Blue’ taken from the forthcoming new EP titled ‘Blocking Blue’ set for release on 25th August.
‘BLOCKING BLUE’ will be released across all digital platforms 4th August

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
