After smacking Australian and New Zealand audiences across the face with her single ‘DeLorean,’ Swedish pop rebel AMWIN today returns with her debut EP – AMWIN In Wonderland – featuring the electrifying new single ‘Dua Lipa.’
While much of AMWIN’s material embodies a certain restless attitude, ‘Dua Lipa’ unfolds as a full-tilt love song, a magnificent bop built on her heart-on-sleeve lyrics. Featuring bouncy ball beats, vibrant melodies and AMWIN’s signature warped lyricism (“You keep it tighter than the North Korean border”), the song shows off AMWIN’s sweet side, albeit with the foul-mouthed, sex positive, femme strong style that has established her as one of the most refreshing new voices in music.

It’s the latest cut off an EP that already boasts previous hits ‘DeLorean,’ ‘Uber,’ and ‘Living Mistake,’ alongside fabulous new material in the silky smooth ‘Ghost’ and the appropriately dreamy ‘Lucid.’ Featuring collaborations with songwriters and producers like Carli Löf (Robyn, Galantis), Jay Weathers (Not3s, Jacob Banks), and Carl Lehman (Liam Payne, Panic At The Disco!), it’s a record stuffed with otherworldly beats, luminous textures and AMWIN’s own madcap vocal twists, and stands as a remarkably impressive debut.
The EP’s release follows after ‘DeLorean’ proved to be one of the songs of the summer thanks to support from triple j that helped her spread her sphere of influence from Scandinavia to Sydney. A remix by label mate and star in her own right Alice Ivy spawned even more love for the shockingly infectious single and helped solidify her fanbase down under.
“This EP lets you in to the ambivalent mind of a young women,” says AMWIN. “A world that’s often upside down. On one side super f*cking happy and amazing, on the other side super f*cking sad and pissed off. Too many emotions to count. Finally, after hours of blood, sweat and tears, they turned into my debut EP. I’m so stoked to finally share it with you.”
With the release of her debut EP, AMWIN hopes that her own creative journey might spark a new sense of freedom in others: the freedom to feel too much, to make an extraordinary mess of your heart, and — maybe most of all — to wildly contradict yourself whenever it feels right.
