Singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Amy Allen returns with a stunning and deeply personal new song “Heaven” out via Warner Records.  Listen to “Heaven”HERE and watch the video helmed by female duo Similar But Different HERE.

“I grew up watching two people I love struggle with addiction and ultimately lost them both last year. I tried so hard to avoid writing about something so painful, but I kept hearing the line, ‘You’ve never been to Heaven but you got pretty close last night’ in my head and it felt like the song wrote itself. I realized how important it is to share these stories so people know they aren’t alone,” said Amy about the new track.

Amy wrote and produced “Heaven” with hitmakers The Monsters & Strangerz (Dua Lipa, Maroon 5, Camila Cabello), Jon Bellion (Halsey, Miley Cyrus) and Ethan Gruska (Phoebe Bridgers, Fiona Apple).  The song pairs delicate strums with emotional vocal delivery as Amy serenades, “Never been to heaven but you got pretty close last night, You’ll be no exception when the gates open up next time.”

“Heaven” arrives on the heels of Amy’s August-released, “Difficult” which garnered praise from American Songwriter, WWD, Flaunt, Refinery29 and Britain’s The Sunday Times who described it as “…a breezy, Sheryl Crow-like gem awash in snagging hooks and melodies…” After achieving incredible success as a songwriter, Amy made her debut as a solo artist in July with the beautiful ballad “Queen of Silver Linings” which she wrote and produced with Grammy-winning producer Dan Wilson. “Queen of Silver Linings” quickly amassed over 3 million streams and has received acclaim from Billboard, Ones To Watch, UPROXX, Idolator and more.

More About Amy Allen:

There are two stories you can tell as a songwriter: yours or someone else’s. Amy Allen not only tells the stories of some of the biggest artists in the world as a songwriter, but she also shares her story as an artist. By 10-years-old, Amy began writing songs for herself and learned five instruments. After graduating from Berklee College of Music, she founded New York indie upstart band, Amy & The Engine. In 2018, she wrote “Back To You” by Selena Gomez and opened up the floodgates to collaborate with A-list talent, including Halsey, Camila Cabello, Shawn Mendes, Sam Smith, and Harry Styles. Forbes named her on the coveted “30 Under 30” list, while Variety dubbed her “Hitmaker of the Month.” Reclaiming her passion for performing in 2020, she introduces her sound as an artist on her full-length debut for Warner Records.  All of her past experience has led her to this point, to creating a collection of personal and meaningful songs that make up her debut album. Amy’s songs are lived-in tales, reminiscent of the American troubadours that have come before her – heroes like Tom Petty or Sheryl Crow, Carole King or John Prine or Bruce Springsteen. Heralded by “Queen of Silver Linings,”“Difficult” and much more to come, Amy Allen tells her own story now.
