Coming for U is the newest single from Spanish-born, Sydney based R&B singer ANGE. The song, out today, Thursday 4th of February, arrives after Dead To Each Other her collaboration with Chelsea Warner, which to date has reached close to 700 shazams.
Coming for U describes a journey of personal development. It talks about what it’s like to break through impostor syndrome and finally have the courage to do what you’ve always wanted to do.
ANGE continues to blend soulful melodies and hip hop rhythms jumping between English and Spanish words. The song is full of velvety alluring harmonies that accompany the lead vocal and ignite movement from the moment the beat drops.
“Coming for U is my declaration of my commitment to my music. It’s my way of breaking with my past self and saying: I’m not going to hesitate anymore, I’m not going to stop until I get what I want. No one is going to stop me. It doesn’t matter how many no’s I get, it doesn’t matter how long it has taken so far or how long it takes, I’m going all in.” says ANGE.
“I wanted to write a song where I could embody my bold and assertive self, a song to help me let go of my insecurities where nothing grows and evolves,” explains ANGE.
Coming for U was co-written and produced by Finbar Stuart from Boomchild, made and recorded in a Newtown bedroom studio.
“Finbar started jamming some chords and the chorus lyrics came out of nowhere. I barely had time to think that I was singing already. I think these words had been waiting to come out for a long time but I wasn’t ready until then.” says ANGE.
ANGE will presenting Coming for U live on Thursday 18th of February at Mary’s Underground in Sydney.
Originating from the luscious lands of Spain; rising neo-pop princess ANGE surfs comfortably between R&B and Latin sounds and Spanish and English words. With a handful of singles, she has sparked chatter amongst not only music lovers but multiple publications and radios (Redbull Music Spain, MTV Australia, Triple J, Los 40, NEO2) for her flavourful and emotive sound.
From punching out Metallica ballads at the age of 15, moving over to heated Jazz then seamlessly transitioning to rhythmic Funk; ANGE truly is a master of all trades. Drawing comparisons to BANKS, Kali Uchis and NAO with mid 90s influences, she is best known for her captivating velvety vocals and left of centre melodies.
ANGE is currently preparing new material for her first EP full of intimate reflections, stories and pieces of advice to herself through soulful harmonies, hip hop beats, funky basslines and edgy sonorities.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
