Delivered, Live made its debut in April this year as a response to COVID 19 forcing the world into lockdown. Now, as we look towards a socially distanced future where live music and comedy are locked out of our beloved live venues, the program returns to give the live entertainment industry a chance to do what it does best.
Season 1’s 12 episode run featured a wide range of artists such as Kate Ceberano, DMA’s, C.W. Stoneking, Emma Donovan & The Putbacks, Deborah Conway, Mo’Ju, British India, Alex Lahey and Didirri among many others. As well as this, there was comedy from Clare Hooper, Cal Wilson, Geraldine Hickey, Tom Ballard and more.
Over the course of the first season, over 10,000 tickets were sold and $645,000 was injected back into the live entertainment economy. For many of the acts on the show this was their only opportunity for a paid live performance in the COVID-age.
The show is made available to watch free on YouTube so as to be accessible to any who choose to watch it. However, for those that can afford it, tickets are available for purchase for a range of price points, starting from as little as $20 – less than you’d pay to see most of these acts in non-pandemic times.
The revenue from these tickets then goes back to the artists and the crew creating the show, plus a live music venue and crew member of each acts’ choice.
This first episode of season 2 sees us joined by proud Gugu Yalanji, Jirrbal, Zenadth Kes song woman, Kee’ahn, who will open the show, followed by singer-songwriter and Aus Music Prize winner Lisa Mitchell, and finally, we will be graced by the presence of iconic soul, jazz and blues singer, and ARIA and Music Victoria Hall Of Fame inductee, Renee Geyer.
Bringing the laughs will be Dave Thornton and our regular recap on ‘the week that was’ with Sami Shah.
