Ed Sheeran has today found himself atop of both the ARIA Album and Single charts for the first time since ÷ (pronounced “divide”) was released back in March earlier this year. ÷ now sits at #1 on the ARIA album chart, while along with the original version of Perfect, Ed’s stunning duet with Beyoncé on the new version of hit single Perfect  is at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart.

This is Ed’s second #1 ARIA single for the year, following on from Shape Of You, which was the longest ever # 1 single since Gangsta’s Paradise and the most streamed song on Spotify for 2017.

When told of the achievement Ed said, “It’s always amazing to hear news from Australia about the album and single. Thank you to everyone for your support this year and getting the single and album back to number 1. It’s been a huge year for me and I can’t wait to get back to play for you all in March”

To date, Perfect has landed 15 x Platinum and 8 x Gold certifications around the globe and has sold over 4.7 million copies worldwide. In Australia, the album is 5 x ARIA Platinum. The official video, starring actress Zoey Deutch (Beautiful Creatures), has received a whopping 315 million views in a matter of weeks.

Following his mighty collaboration with Beyonce, Ed Sheeran has also unveiled his stunning duet of Perfect with Andrea Bocelli. Ed’s brother Matthew Sheeran – a classical composer – had a vision for the orchestral version and composed the arrangement, which was recorded around the same time of the original. Later, both Ed and Matthew had the idea to ask Andrea to sing on it and the beautiful, accompanying visual and duet were recorded at Andrea’s Italian home in October this year.
