Ascending pop maverick E^ST (Mel Bester) is delighted to share details of her forthcoming EP titled Life Ain’t Always Roses. Due out October 26 via Warner Music Australia, the seven-track compilation features singles ‘Blowjob’, ‘I Don’t Lack Imagination’ and E^ST’s newest gem ‘Alien’.

E^ST says of the single: “This song is about feeling like an outsider in the world, where even doing ‘normal’ things like getting the bus or dancing can make you feel weird and out of place. And it’s calling out to others who might feel the same, in the hopes that feeling ‘alien’ can bring us together.”
Having worked on Life Ain’t Always Roses for the last few years, E^ST adds: “The EP documents me turning from a teenager into an adult and all the confusing things that happen during that time in one’s life. Some of these songs were fun to write, others were difficult, some took a lot of thought and others none at all. But at the core, every song is super honest and I feel relieved to have written them and to be able to share them now.”
Coinciding with the announcement of her EP, E^ST is thrilled to also reveal a series of national headline tour dates set to take place this November. In support of her EP, The ‘Life Ain’t Always Roses’ Tour will visit venues in Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Sydney this November.
The tour will round out an astounding 12 months for the 20-year-old pop-phenom. Beginning the year with a #63 placing in triple j’s Hottest 100 for ‘Life Goes On’, E^ST signed an international record deal with the legendary Fueled By Ramen label, supported Amy Shark on her national tour and was lauded as one of the Top 100 Women Revolutionizing Pop by the prestigious Paper Magazine.
