E^ST is pleased to unveil her new single ‘I Don’t Lack Imagination’. Premiering on triple j breakfast and The Fader, it’s a powerful move for one of the country’s most exciting pop talents. Written and recorded in Atlanta earlier this year with Oak Felder (Alessia Cara), the track is available on all platforms now.
E^ST says of the track: “This song is about building up an idea of someone in your mind, but then when you actually get to hang with them and get to know them you realise they’re pretty lame and nowhere near as cool as you preconceived them to be. An ode to all the bad first dates we suffer through.”

With 3 EPs under her belt, 20 year old Mel Bester is writing her own trajectory. Unbound by past experience and influence, her songwriting is united by a strong sense of melody and compelling vocal as well as a demonstrable commitment to the pop craft. E^ST most recently proved herself with global single ‘Life Goes On’ (which came in at #63 in last year’s triple j Hottest 100) and bold empowerment anthem ‘Blowjob’ (praised by Nylon, Paper and more). A new body of work is expected later this year.
