Like beautiful apple trees growing from the seeds of fallen Granny Smiths, so blossoms the first announcement of juicy sideshows taken from this years’ perfectly ripe Falls Festival line-up!
Branching out from a line-up stacked with international talent will be German folksters Milky Chance, the smooth harmonic talents of Pink Sweat$ and razor-sharp UK livewire YUNGBLUD.
Appearing at Melbourne’s Festival Hall and Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion for some very special all ages dates, eager fans will be among the first in the world to experience Milky Chance’s brand-new album Mind The Moon live on stage.
Set to be released in November, the LP contains ‘Daydreaming’ – the duo’s recent collaboration with Australian sensation Tash Sultana – as well as new single ‘The Game’. With a reputation as one of the hardest touring acts around, their breezy harmonic tones illustrated on tracks like ‘Cocoon’ and the mega-hit ‘Stolen Dance’ will steal the night away.
A man apart from a world of processed beats and trap-hats, Pink Sweat$ will demonstrate his addictive harmonies and sublime vocal abilities on stages at Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory and Melbourne’s Corner Hotel. Having picked up millions of streams for his two EP’s Volume 1 and Volume 2, this Philly native is an expansive talent painting with a stunning minimalist brush.
Leaping off the Falls stage and landing like a cat in the lap of audiences for all ages shows at Melbourne’s Forum and Sydney’s Enmore Theatre, UK troublemaker YUNGBLUD will be delighted to show off tracks from his upcoming the underrated youth EP.
Released in mid-October, this new set of songs (including brand new single ‘hope for the underrated youth’) are as powerful and arresting as anything yet put forth by this super talented Englishman.
His previous singles ‘I Love You, Will You Marry Me’ and ‘Polygraph Eyes’ represent an intersection between punk, hip-hop and guitar pop that has proved irresistible to fans over the world, and will set the stage alight at these exclusive Australian sideshows.
