Now Melbourne’s after-dark pop darlings FERLA are ready to announce their long-awaited debut album It’s Personal which will be released on April 9th, followed by their debut headline tour throughout May. FERLA are excited to share with you their new single ‘I’m Fine’ with accompanying video. And to celebrate they will play at a secret location in Melbourne’s north this Saturday the 23rd of Feb.

‘I’m Fine’ is a song about not being fine at all. It’s a dance party for the heartbroken, when being in the presence of other people’s love and romance makes you sick to your stomach. FERLA seek to take moments experienced in solitude and make them communal, and this song is an example of that ethos. Because FERLA knows that everybody everywhere does everything just the same.

Titled It’s Personal, because it’s personal. FERLA’s debut album, recorded at 400 Acres by Rohan Sforcina (Dune Rats, Gold Class, Oh Mercy), is an extension of their creative output thus far. A post-break-up album, It’s Personal condenses a tumultuous year of Giuliano Ferla’s life into 50 minutes of music and lyrics.

“It’s like when you make grappa,” says Giuliano, “you get all the leftovers from making the wine; the skins, the seeds, the twigs, all the rubbish; and then you squeeze. You extract every last little morsel of flavour. You wring and you wrench and you screw to the last drop. And what comes out? The purest of the pure. A year distilled. That’s what this album is.”
