Following on from her first ever headline show last night – a sold out affair at Adelaide’s JIVE – George Alice shares details of a special Youtube livestream performance for fans who can’t be there in person, or missed out on tickets, tonight from 9:50pm AEST. Subscribe to George Alice’s Youtube channel to be first in line.

“Playing a show in 2020 means that things are a little different,” George says, “so for all those who can’t make it to Adelaide, I’m going to put my show up online on Thursday night so you can watch from your own bubble (home) and have a boogie in your lounge room!!”

Even though it feels like George Alice is a seasoned live act – having played to thousands of music fans at events ranging from Laneway to the Australian Tennis Open, as well as touring with Broods, Vera Blue and Tash Sultana – these hometown shows mark George’s first ever headlines.

Ticket holders in Adelaide will be seated and ‘Corona safe’. Speaking to triple j’s Bryce & Ebony yesterday on Drive, George explained that shows would be as physically involved and interactive as possible. “It’s all socially distanced, which is going to be weird, but totally necessary. It’s gonna feel like a birthday party, with everyone sitting down and just hanging out. We’re dropping some merch, and we’ve got little presents under the chairs… I’ve gone all out, Oprah style.”

With a triple j Unearthed High-winning debut in her stride, 17-year-old George Alice made a splash with follow-up single ‘Stuck In a Bubble‘ – out now via Concord / Caroline Australia. The track has clocked 2 million streams, in as many months, with widespread media support and DSP playlisting – including cover profiles on Spotify’s Pop n’ Fresh and The Local List. ‘Stuck In A Bubble’ was added to triple j rotation in its first week; also picking up a National Nights add on Australia’s Hit Network. Sir Elton John even picked it up for a spin on his ROCKET HOUR show on Apple Music 1.

George cracked #4 on Shazam’s Discovery Australia Chart, and was also featured as Apple Music’s Spotlight Artist last month.

The partnering music video features triple j Unearthed alumni Mali Jose, Debbies, Nick Ward, Tulliah, Matilda Pearl and Daniel Steinhart (TOWNS) – with George and co. teaming up with Melbourne-based professional dancers Melissa Yvonne Pham, Jayden Wall, Martha Berhane, Steve Fernando to create a clip shot remotely by each performer and compiled completely of their self-shot footage.
