Brisbane’s Good Will Remedy have released the Official Music Video for their new single ‘Messin With My Head’ featuring Viliani premiering on TheMusic and picking up spot play on CMT. On the live front, the band are stoked to be announced for a run of shows with The Black Sorrows in Jan/Feb plus a slot on the Melting Sunsets Festival in March with Pete Murray, The Whitlams, Alex Lloyd, Diana Anaid and more!
‘Messin With My Head’ showcases GWR’s southern fried alt-country rock vibes with a bit of a twist – featuring a rap from Melbourne artist Viliani. The quirky official music video was directed by Hayden Lowry, with Lowry saying “easily one of the most bonkers, off the wall and wacky concepts I’ve ever developed”.
The single spent 3 weeks in the AMRAP’s Metro Airplay Top 10 including a week in the Number 1 spot!
Viliani is a Melbourne based Emcee/Producer with an emotional and eclectic sound inspired by a multitude of sounds and genres, her influences stemming from a diverse range of artists including MC Layla, Ed Scissor, Rhyme Asylum, Korn and Tool.
‘Messin With My Head’ is about preparing yourself for a better day – hopefully better than yesterday – but when the new day quickly starts to resemble the day before you realise you should have stayed in bed!
The video sees singer Will waking to what he thinks is his normal day but finds himself being stalked by strange characters who seem to have sinister intentions.
Drummer Rob Penman says of the video shoot – “well for such a crazy concept the video has come up amazingly well! Hayden has really done something special with this one – everyone got into it and Viliani provided her part too – and that just put the icing on the cake… it’s a classic!”
‘Messin With My Head’ is the third single taken from the Good Will Remedy’s upcoming EP titled ‘Same Old More Crows’… Previous singles ‘Lightning Bolt’ and ‘Ghost Town’ both received national rotation on ABC Country radio and both broke into the top 50 on Countrytown radio airplay chart.
