Ready for a summer getaway? Gather your gang and start your engine. Chuck the boards on the roof and the esky in the back. Windows down. Music up. Then tell Siri to get you to Grow Your Own 2019! Grassroots festival Grow Your Own is returning to the glistening shores of Forster-Tuncurry on NSW’s Mid North Coast on Saturday 12 January 2019 and they’ve handpicked a stellar lineup of Aussie music legends to head up the festival’s third edition…

The Grow Your Own team of 2019 features roadtrip-worthy sounds from festival faves and Britpop crooners DMA’s, surf rock and garage groms Hockey Dad, rock legends The Preatures, indie pop darling Mallrat, Bigsound buzz band signed to Dune Rats label Totty and more!

Festival Director Holly Rankin (aka Jack River) will also be bringing her sparkly nostalgic pop to the Grow Your Own stage this year.

“We’re deeply excited to present Grow Your Own’s biggest line up yet, with acts coming from all over the country as well as many from our own backyard. Our homegrown ethos runs through every cell of the festival, right down to the fences and the food – it’s our mission to value all things local, sustainable and alive. We wanted to create the perfect getaway, full of summer anthems and all the grit and guitars that make Australian music feel like home.” says Holly.

Having recently joined forces with Secret Sounds (Splendour in the Grass, Falls Festival, Download), Grow Your Own continues on its forward trajectory. The festival is set to expand its home on Tuncurry Footy Fields, with an increased capacity, evolving art installations, specialised bars and expansive Growers area which will feature local producers, farmers and artisans.

Far from the city and nestled by the blue waters of Australia’s legendary East Coast, Forster-Tuncurry is the ultimate summer getaway. With an ethos centred around sustainability, local producers and community engagement, Grow Your Own 2019 is all set to provide a killer yet conscious day out for locals and road trippers alike.
