Summer is officially here and that means there’s only one place you need to be on 12 January 2019, the glistening seaside town of Forster-Tuncurry for Grow Your Own!

With less than a month to go until you’ll be hitting the road and chasing that sea breeze, it’s time to sort out your festival game plan with our official SET TIMES!

In other exciting news, Grow Your Own are stoked to announce that Newcastle indie rocker GRACE TURNER has been crowned the festival’s triple j Unearthed competition winner! We can’t wait to see her take to the stage alongside some of the biggest names in Aussie music.

Joining an incredible lineup of musicians and local growers at Grow Your Own this year are a crew of amazing Australian visual artists! 2019 is the inaugural year for the festival’s Art Bar Gallery, that will see 12 Australian artists produce a smattering of murals around the festival site.

Wander around the festival and discover works by Grow Your Own lineup alumni such as Ozzie Wright from Goons of Doom, Jacob Boylan of Mini Skirt, Benny Reed of Skegss, Joel Tyrrell of Los Scallywags and Ruby Fields!

Creative heavyweights Lauren Webster, Kentaro Yoshida, Jack Irvine and Ben Brown (who crafted Nirvana’s only Australian tour poster) will also be adding to the pallet.

Curated by creative director Lee McConnell, these murals will form part of multiple bar displays and act as prime viewing points to the stage, so you can peep epic sets from DMA’s or Hockey Dad surrounded by kickass art.

The murals will sit alongside heaps of other installations created by Lee that will all be based on the 2019 event artwork.

Local indigenous artist Lara Went of Yukul Art will also be joining the art party, creating more murals that will tell the story of the local Worimi land, paying respects to her elders, the traditional land owners of Forster-Tuncurry.
