Automatic royalty split payments feature to platform

In a huge win for songwriters, band members and producers, today Australian-owned digital distribution company GYROstream launches GYROsplits, a split payments feature to its distribution system allowing multiple collaborators to receive automated royalty payouts on a release.
Only a limited number of distribution companies globally currently offer this feature, allowing collaborators to automatically receive their share of a song’s streaming and download royalties direct to their nominated bank account.
GYROstream CEO Andy Irvine says split payments is one of the most requested distribution features from artists and their teams. “With the rise in popularity of remote collaborative songwriting and production, we’re seeing songs come through our system with collaborators from multiple parts of the globe. You might have a guitarist in LA, a vocalist in Sydney, and a producer in London,” he says.
“In many ways, the world has got a lot smaller through collaboration during COVID-19 and GYROsplits ensures every party is paid the right amount for their art through an automated system, direct into their bank account – no more stewing over royalty spreadsheets.” GYROsplits is a powerful tool for managers and labels too and aims to cut down on costly accounting time.
The new feature is available for free to all account holders and allows the artist to input collaborator splits for a track. As long as all parties set up a free, linked account with GYROstream they can get their share of the royalties when they flow through. Recipients of splits do not need to pay to establish an account with GYROstream to receive their royalties – sign up is free.
The system also provides a splits history table and has the ability to update future royalties if split shares change over time. Launched alongside an improved artist royalties dashboard, the upgrade intends to provide more transparency for artists using GYROstream.

GYROsplits is now live and comes as another addition to the company’s growing suite of artist services and tools besides distribution including the recently announced findmyisrc.com, publicity, digital marketing and more. “Listening to the requests and concerns of independent artists and trying to come up with solutions to help them succeed where we can is at the core of what GYROstream stands for,” says Andy. “Thanks to the input of artists and their teams, GYROsplits is the biggest shake-up to our distribution system since we launched in 2018 and we are really excited to see it in action.”

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
